Tecia Torres – Hands Like Whoa

InvictaFC3 Took place in Kansas City – Kansas, where Tecia Torres took on Kaiyana Rain. Having discovered Tecia Torres in a YouTube [I know right] clip, I immediately sought her out of Facebook and be befriended her. [don’t judge me] – But view the clip below and you will see exactly why I fell in love with her style of fight.

Both Torres and Rain made their professional debut Saturday October 6th of 2012 and boy was I on the edge of my seat. I never thought in a million years I would verbally assault my computer monitor. I am ashamed. [don’t be that guy] Torres dominated the fight for an entire 3 rounds. She displayed veteran like composure, take-down defense and striking combinations. At the end of the night she waked away with a professional record of (1-0) winning all three rounds via (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Before her professional debut Torres was undefeated as an amateur mixed martial artist. She went (7-0) over a span of 10 months. [wow] Torres trains out of American Top Team located in South Florida. Currently 23 years of age – Torres has experience in both Muay Thai and Kickboxing with a record of (16-4).

The game plan was evident during the first round. Rain was to use her height advantage to keep Torres on the cage and when ever possible to try to take the fight to the ground. Rain was able to control Torres on the cage but was not able to take the fight to the ground. Not only was it difficult to get Torres to the ground but Rain would also take worst of each exchange in the middle of the cage. Apparently someone must not have seen the clip above. This was …
